-- Wu Jing to Attend 44th Golden Horse Awards --
When Wu Jing learned that he was nominated for Golden Horse Best Supporting Actor Award for his role as the antagonist in Invisible Target in October, he was taken by surprise for it's not often that an action star receives any nominations or awards. As veteran actors like Tony Leung Ka Fai and Louis Koo are also named in the same category, Wu Jing says that he's already very happy to be nominated and does not expect to win the award.
Wu Jing's manager Syllina says that it is the first time Wu Jing got nominated and it came somewhat unexpected. It shows that apart from his martial arts ability, his acting is given recognition too. Syllina adds that Wu Jing, who often dresses casually, would be in formal attire on that day.
Wu Jing says that the most memorable moments when filming Invisible were jumping off the the rooftop with Nicholas Tse and Philip Ng without doubles and the scene in which Nicholas Tse, Jaycee Chan and Shawn Yue personally letting him beat them up for real. He was really impressed by their work ethics.
Wu Jing mentions that getting a cameo role in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is like a dream come true for it has always been his wish to work with his senior Jet Li and spar against him even though their exchange was pretty brief. He describes their fight as "natural, with good flow as the river".
As to his future projects, Wu Jing says that his management Gold Label is currently in pre-production of a film, and they plan to produce a saga out of it. Even if there are lesser investors in martial arts films, they would press on. Wu Jing, who would be attending the Golden Horse Awards on Dec 8, is arriving in Taiwan on Dec 7 afternoon and leaves on Dec 9, and would also be taking the opportunity to meet his Taiwanese fans. 300Hu, Sina | More photos: 300Hu
-- Painted Skin / Skin Lover --
Following the press conference whereby the cast members beat about the bush and kept everyone guessing about their roles, Donnie Yen reveals later that he's playing the ghost-buster, Chen Kun his bookish brother and Vicky Zhao Chen Kun's wife, Zhou Xun a hideous spirit that dons the skin of a beauty to prey on unsuspecting young men, while Sun Li's playing a new character who's also a ghost-catcher.
Donnie Yen also adds that the new Painted Skin / Skin Lover is like a period version of SDU in which everyone excels in martial arts and Donnie Yen is the commander of the SDU. Painted Skin is being filmed in Yinchuan, with a skirmish between Donnie Yen and Zhou Xun on the Silk Road being shot on the first day. Production is expected to wrap up in January, after which Donnie Yen would likely do Legend of Yip Man/Ye Wen. Nanfang Daily

-- Painted Skin --
Press conference marking the commencement of Painted Skin production was held on Dec 4 in Beijing, with the six major cast members Donnie Yen, Vicky Zhao, Chen Kun, Sun Li, Qi Yi Wu and Zhou Xun in attendance. However, director Gordan Chan was absent. Chen Kun will play scholar Chong Wen, while Donnie Yen plays his priest brother Chong Wu, Zhou Xun plays the ghost vixen Shui Mei Ling. While the roles of the other three were not revealed at the press conference, other reports suggest that Sun Li would be playing Shui Mei Ling's ruthless sister, Vicky Zhao the sickly but virtuous wife of Chong Wen and Qi Yuwu some villainous character.
