 On 11 June afternoon, press conference for Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame was held in Hengdian. Tsui Hark worked through the night to rush out a teaser trailer, which does anything but teases. It shows nothing more than a brooding atmosphere, with barely anyone in sight. To quote Tsui Hark, "Kept under wraps."

On June 11 afternoon, Beijing Enlight Pictures held a press conference to announce its 8 upcoming/ongoing/future projects/co-productions between 2009 to 2010. Liu Yi Wei and Liu Yan hosted the event that was attended by Enlight's chairman Wang Zhang Tian and president Zhang Zhao, and their collaborators producer Raymond Wong, directors Gordon Chan, Andrew Lau, etc, as well as comics creator Tony Wong Yuk Long.

-- City on Alert -- City on Alert, a 100m yuan sci-fi actioner by director's Benny Chan Muk Sing, has been secretly in production for several days. The cast includes Aaron Kwok, Ngai Sing, Wu Jing, Shu Q, Zhang Jing Chu.
In this film on courage, a group of circus performers goes on a rampage after undergoing some kind of mutation, that grants them superhuman abilities, in an accident. However, one of them, an ordinary clown originally, would not condone the others' misdeeds and for the sake of the entire city, stands up against them.

-- On His Majesty's Secret Service -- Production for Wong Jing's period comedy On His Majesty's Secret Service (Forbidden City Cop: Smart Doggie), starring Louis Koo, Barbie Hsu, Fan Siu Wong, Liu Yi Wei, Sandra Ng, Leung Kar Yan, Lam Tse Chong, Sang Wei Lin, Chen Jia Jia, Zheng Yi Tong etc., has just wrapped up. On His Majesty's Secret Service will be out on either July 30 or August 6, with sequels being planned if successful.
Inevitably, comparisons are being drawn to Forbidden City Cop with Stephen Chow. Wong Jing, who wrote the scripts for both, says that the two are completely different, "In the older version, Stephen Chow is a self-assured inventor, but in this one, Louis Koo is one with low self-esteem, and is not confident about his inventions. Days in Shaolin Many kids have the tendency to swap pointers with their friends after watching martial arts films or TV series. That 蒋璐霞 Jiang Lu Xia, 23, walks the path of wushu is also on the account of these works. "When I was very young, my father loved martial arts shows, and I would watch them with him. While I hadn't had the slightest inklings of the mechanics, I was envious of those people on the screen who could fly. Then, I made up my mind, I must train this, so that I could soar to school every day," recounts Jiang Lu Xia in her interview.

-- Detective Dee -- Based on the concept art, as well as confirmation from the crew, Tsui Hark is going for something very epic with Detective Dee and the Mystery of Phantom Flame.
Over the past few weeks since production began, Tsui Hark has been working day and night, having barely 2 hours of sleep each day, and sometimes, he would even go without sleep for three days and three nights consecutively. With dark circles forming under his eyes as a result, Tsui Hark even earned himself the nickname pandaman. And the production could hardly keep up with him.
