Ji Chun Hua proudly declares, "I've always been playing the villain, but on this series, I'm an official - a Manchu official. I won't be fighting, I have the monks protecting me."

A reporter retorts that Ji Chun Hua, who is dressed in black, still looks like a baddie. So Ji Chun Hua flaps his cape and smiles, "See, it's all red inside."

Filming on the great desert is never easy, and can be risky. Once, they encountered a sandstorm while filming. And shooting was halted immediately, and everyone took shelter. While no one was hurt, their 700k HD camera was destroyed.

And also, the highly intelligent ships of the desert were not always very cooperative. They would sometimes throw a tantrum when they're tired and would just sit down and go on a strike. They would only resume work after they're well rested and coaxed by the trainers.

Having just completed the desert scenes, this kungfu TV series has moved location to China West Film Studio. Such martial arts legends as Yu Cheng Hui, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Gordon Liu and blossoming martial arts star Shi Xiao Long, veteran actor Zhang Guo Li and his actor son Zhang Mo, Japanese actress Yuuki Maomi will also be joining Legend of Shaolin Kungfu 3.  Yinchuan News

Plot:
After a secret meeting between Emperor Kangxi and Shaolin abbot, the Imperial Court and Shaolin send out a convoy, comprising of three Manchu emissaries, their retinue, and seven Shaolin monks (one of the eight monks is not on this mission) escorting a cabalistic chest to the Western Region.

No one knows anything about the chest or what secrets it holds. And it's precisely because of this, it draws the attention of various people within the Imperial Court and from the pugilistic circle.

The journey is fraught with all kinds of perils, with multitudes of trials awaiting the seven Shaolin disciples who are trying to fulfill their master's order to safely transport the chest to the destination.

The crown prince clique fears that the chest might affect his ascension, and so sends men to sabotage it. The remnant Ming loyalists who are against the Manchurian rule are even more curious about the chest, and try to steal or rob it, so as to uncover its secrets.
