"Actually, I started training in martial arts when I was very little, being influenced by such legends as Bruce Lee. But it was merely a dream back then, I didn't imagine it would happen, it was too distant. So, when the opportunity came knocking, I grabbed it.
"I was labelled the most easily hurt guy on this production. It's because of our promise of this being an authentic kungfu series. So, we fight so realistically that you can even hear the sounds of our moves. And coming from wushu background, once we start, it's hard for us to hold back.
"Moreover, I'm the type that demands perfection for each move I do, so my mind is filled with nothing but bringing out the best action, with no regards whatsoever for the consequences. So, I get hurt very easily. And basically, we don't undercrank, how fast our movements are when filming is the speed the audience gets to see.
"My character fights bare-handed from beginning to the end, no weapon at all. So, I'm more vulnerable to injuries. Fortunately, I have some romantic scenes. As Fuji TV is also investing in this work, they send a Japanese actress Yuuki Moami to play my childhood sweetheart. I feel very sorry to everyone, for they're all green with envious."
