-- Legendary Assassin -- On her latest blog entry, Celina Jade shares her experiences working on the set of her first film Legendary Assassin. Celina Jade talks about being caught off-guard by Wu Jing and thrown about helplessly in a wushu-dance-bonding scene, of getting a big bruise on her face in her first fight scene, and, in another scene, gliding through the air and slamming against the wall, getting a sprained leg while her coccyx hit some hard structure inside the sofa. -- Legendary Assassin -- Celina Jade has just posted the more action-packed international version of Legendary Assassin trailer (Cantonese), which comes with English subtitles and narration, on her blog. A brief look at the plot, as provided by Celina Jade: Holly (Celina Jade) is a small-time cop born and bred in an outlying island in Hong Kong. She takes pride in her job even though crime is minuscule there. Every day life as a cop comprises of dealing with the odd villager complaint, bar fights, and lost and found reports. It may seem like a boring life to some, but a responsibility she doesn’t take on lightly. One seemingly ordinary day, she finds her cat trapped in a tree and climbs up to rescue it. One careless step and she finds herself falling through the air and into the hands of a stranger, Bruce (Wu Jing). A typhoon unravels and Bruce alongside all the villagers are stuck on the island, he is welcomed by Holly and taken around the island until the two are disrupted by a coincidental confrontation with four convicts on the run. Meanwhile, Holly finds out that Bruce is in fact a Kung Fu Master who has yet again saved her life. He becomes the praise of the town and she is grateful as he gives her the first big break of her career, the goal of someday becoming a CID in the city is now closer to her grasp. Bruce and Holly begin to bond and a subtle yet deep connection is felt between them, although often unspoken. Bruce in his interaction with Holly starts to reflect on his life choices and contemplates the meanings of life...

--Legendary Assassin -- Here are some excerpts from what Celina Jade says concerning shooting her first MV:
Wow, was that an experience or what! You know Music videos are not like films, there is no rolling credit at the end that do justice for the effort and time put in. So even though, these ppl may not ever read my blog, in fact, some don't even know it exists. I thought the public and my friends should know the team behind the scenes that made it happen.

Through Jet Li's arrangement, Wu Jing, as a One Foundation volunteer and Dreamboat member, arrived in Sichuan on May 31 to
carry out relief work in Earthquake affected areas in the more remote mountainous region. With him are several One
Foundation volunteers as well as Dreamboat manager Yao Guo Zhi. Bringing with them lots of basic necessities like rice
and tents, as well as bags, books and chocolates for the kids.
Working closely with Reverend Su Quan and Arhat Temple which serves as
their operation base as well as their lodging whereby they set up tents within the premises, all the goods are being
distributed to the areas that haven't been covered. The monks would cook vegetarian meals for the volunteers. The
volunteers and Wu Jing work their fingers to the bone, carrying and delivering the items as well as setting up tents for

-- Legendary Assassin -- Twitch has just posted a preview of Legendary Assassin's promo reel at this year's Cannes Film Festival: "Also up on the Hong Kong action tip, I got to check out a promo made up of completely raw footage for Wu Jing’s Legendary Assassin. Beyond the fact that it was still in very rough form and graced with one of the most hilariously over the top bits of English narration ever – apparently done a bit tongue in cheek – it looks decently well shot and there is certainly no shortage of action in this movie. Nope. And it’s all old fashioned Hong Kong ass whuppin – fists and feet meeting faces. Wu must’ve been tired." Besides Legendary Assassin, Twitch also reports on two Donnie Yen projects - Painted Skin and Legend of Yip Man - being marketed at Cannes: "Anyway, there were still good things to be had. Such as? The promo for Ip Man, the Wilson Yip directed, Donnie Yen starring bio pic of Bruce Lee’s mentor. The current promo is largely behind the scenes footage but also includes some final work and it all looks very, very impressive. Donnie looks strong - you’d expect a strong effort from him considering how highly he regards Bruce Lee - as do the production values and the supporting cast. Fans of Fan Siu Wong - who we talked about a little while back thanks to his part in The Moss - will be glad to know it looks as though his role is pretty significant."
