Bodyguards and Assassins trailer: Sina The trailer promises 60 minutes of non-stop action in the film as several patriots from all walks of life band together to protect Dr Sun Yat Sen from assassinations. Opens on Dec 18, 2009. In an interview with Rama's Screen, Cung Le describes Donnie Yen as a very kind, generous but intense person while Cung Le himself was a very focused and intense person, and brought just as many ideas to the set. He reveals that he told Donnie Yen that he was not satisfied with their fight scene which they spent around 16 days on. While Donnie Yen echoed the same sentiments, he kept quiet initially out of respect for the action director.
However, two months later, the production recalled Cung Le, and he and Donnie Yen worked together to re-shoot their fight scene. While they only had 4 days as Cung Le had other commitments, they raced against the clock, worked 24 hours, and managed to get things done, in a much better way.

Recently, Philip Ng has just quietly finished filming another project, Somebody to Love: Just wrapped on an independent-romantic-kungfu-comedic film (tentatively titled, "Somebody To Love") by the up and coming Irish director Seamus Walsh. Working on this film had me engulfed by the professionalism I had come to expect from having work on larger-scale projects, while simultaneously, the independent nature of this production gave the cast and crew very little restriction to create freely. It was a tough shoot, but it was one of the most enjoyable projects that I had been involved with in quite a while. Seamus came up with a very clever scrīpt that drove the action quite well, and his unique sense of humor shines through in his direction. Our award-winning DP, Henry Chung pointed his new RED camera in all the right places and the image on the screen is pretty awesome. The fight sequences were placed together very well by action-director, Jude Poyer (who has done quite a bit of stunt work in Hong Kong before relocating to England a few years back, and is quite a capable fight-choreographer in his own right). Every single cast and crew member involved with this project was there because they wanted to be and everyone offered their professionalism and expertise without reservation.

-- Invisible Target -- Radwynn has kindly transcribed Philip Ng's Interview on Dragon Dynasty's version of Invisible Target. Philip Ng talked about many things that go on behind-the-scenes in the movie and working with the director Benny Chan, martial arts director Nicky Li, various co-stars Nicholas Tse, Andy On, Wu Jing, Jaycee Chan. Below are some excerpts regarding Philip Ng's background and his thoughts on working with Wu Jing: I started doing martial arts since I was very young. Traditional martial arts. I did Choy Li Fut with my father, who teaches in Chicago. And then in the summer, sometimes he would send me to Hong Kong to train Wing Chun with Wong Shun Leung. And... Which I really enjoyed, you know, I learned a lot from him. And when I was in America, actually it was funny, because I got my master's degree in art education.

-- Hands of the Dragon
-- Earlier on, Philip Ng
was in India for three months to shoot the US-India co-production Hands of the Dragon. Philip Ng, who stars as Jack Lee,
an elite police force member left for dead in a covert operation but reappears in India later to track down his killers,
has non-stop action scenes in the film. However, it was a gruelling experience on the set due to relapse of an old
ailment in the waist.
"The film had a very tight schedule, what I did in one day was equivalent to three
days' worth of filming. Moreover, I had to fight from beginning to the end. One day, suddenly, while filming, I couldn't
move at all. Fortunately, the production got a Chinese physician who applied acupuncture on me. After the treatment, I
was mobile again. It was miraculous." says Philip Ng, whose mindset towards traditional Chinese medical treatment
has changed.
He also expresses deeper understanding for Indian culture: "It turns out that there's a
great disparity between the rich and the impoverished. Many poor have to live in the streets. I feel my injury was
insignificant compared to them, I hope to do something for them in the future." The Sun, Philip Ng

According to Nilanjan Das,
"Working as a consultant for the Hollywood action flick Hands of the Dragon was really interesting. The entire
working process and the outcome gave me immense creative satisfaction because of only one reason – it really worked
the way it was visualized."

-- Wu Jing to Attend 44th Golden Horse Awards -- When Wu Jing learned that he was nominated for Golden Horse Best Supporting Actor Award for his role as the antagonist in Invisible Target in October, he was taken by surprise for it's not often that an action star receives any nominations or awards. As veteran actors like Tony Leung Ka Fai and Louis Koo are also named in the same category, Wu Jing says that he's already very happy to be nominated and does not expect to win the award. Wu Jing's manager Syllina says that it is the first time Wu Jing got nominated and it came somewhat unexpected. It shows that apart from his martial arts ability, his acting is given recognition too. Syllina adds that Wu Jing, who often dresses casually, would be in formal attire on that day. Wu Jing says that the most memorable moments when filming Invisible were jumping off the the rooftop with Nicholas Tse and Philip Ng without doubles and the scene in which Nicholas Tse, Jaycee Chan and Shawn Yue personally letting him beat them up for real. He was really impressed by their work ethics. Wu Jing mentions that getting a cameo role in The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is like a dream come true for it has always been his wish to work with his senior Jet Li and spar against him even though their exchange was pretty brief. He describes their fight as "natural, with good flow as the river".
As to his future projects, Wu Jing says that his management Gold Label is currently in pre-production of a film, and they plan to produce a saga out of it. Even if there are lesser investors in martial arts films, they would press on. Wu Jing, who would be attending the Golden Horse Awards on Dec 8, is arriving in Taiwan on Dec 7 afternoon and leaves on Dec 9, and would also be taking the opportunity to meet his Taiwanese fans. 300Hu, Sina | More photos: 300Hu

-- Philip Ng on Wing Chun TV Series -- There has always been the misconception that Wing Chun kung fu was developed by a girl for a girl, but in reality, Wing Chun is a method of combat that has been developed for human beings, regardless of gender, race, or even choice of eating habits. Wing Chun's success as one of the premier combat arts is due primarily to it simplicity, efficiency, and directness in both its techniques and concepts. Philip Ng Blog >>More<<

-- Philip Ng: I saw an Invisible Target --
It was the Invisible Target premiere last night, and it was the first time that many of us actors have seen the film in its entirety. I have to say, I was very impressed. It is a very well produced film. Even with the large cast of characters in the movie, the story still flowed well and each character's development was very well handled. The action sequences was tight and very entertaining and in the acting department, everyone did an excellent job. For example, even though Jaycee and I are good friends and I know full well that what I'm watching is fiction, Jaycee's scenes was truly able to pull some heavy emotions out of me. Also watch carefully when you see this film, my pal Nic pulls almost all of his own stunts, that guy's crazy, lol. Everyone in this film was pretty much spot on (a very well rounded cast). Kudos to Benny Chan, Invisible Target is a very entertaining film. All in all, watching the film with everyone is a happy reminder of the fun we all had on the set for this one. Philip Ng Blog
